Accepting Bids for 2026 Chemical Requirements
The Municipal Authority of the Borough of Midland is soliciting bids for its chemical
requirements for 2026 at its water and sewer plants. Click the button below to view the contract
specifications for your use in submitting a bid. Bids are due at the Authority office, 946 Railroad
Avenue, Midland, PA 15059 by 2:00PM, December 2nd, 2025.
Attend Our Meeting
The Authority currently meets the 2nd Monday of every month at 4:00PM in the conference room of the Authority office, 946 Railroad Avenue. Public comment is early in the meeting.
About Us
The Municipal Authority of the Borough of Midland was incorporated under the Municipality Authorities Act in 1949.
The Midland Water Company was organized and incorporated in 1907 to supply water. Its service area was just Midland Borough.
In 1953 the Crucible Steel Company of America transferred ownership of the water company to Midland.
Today, the Authority services Midland Borough, Shippingport Borough and parts of Industry with water.
In addition to water service, the Authority also provides sewer service for Midland Borough and part of Industry.
